The F.O.G.H.A.T. StoryJeremy White wanted to run a trash tournament during his days at Missouri-Rolla. In 1997, he organized ICBINAA (I Can’t Believe It’s Not An Acronym), but cancellations rendered it an exhibition event. After becoming an active player on the open trash circuit, Jeremy decided to give it another go. With the help of fellow UM-Rolla alum Chris Taylor, Jeremy wrote the first F.O.G.H.A.T. and he decided to run at his alma mater as a companion event to Rollapalooza. The tournament went reasonably well, fun was had and Jeremy decided he had this out of his system. After Ben Lea retired from playing, he expressed interest in helping write F.O.G.H.A.T.’s sequel. Jeremy decided to take him up on it and the second tourney was so much more fun than the first that he decided to make it an annual event. In 2005, Jeremy decided to relocate the tournament to
Northwestern to be closer to his home in F.O.G.H.A.T. Traditions· Theme packets. Slowly, F.O.G.H.A.T. has been taken over by packets that are balanced trash rounds, but are composed of somehow related questions. Examples are posted here. · Bonus Punting. Like bonus laming, except the other team is forced to play the lame bonus. The team that punted it scores points on all the parts the other team cannot answer correctly. · The FOG Hat. The championship team of every F.O.G.H.A.T. receives a “Fog Hat”. · Darling Mookie concerts |
