Congratulations to Schwengler's Junta -- Keith Hudson, Dave
Murphy, Jason Schwengler and Chris "Partho" Taylor -- for taking the
championship of FOGHAT 2002: Less Chat, More Hat. The Junta won the
championship after taking the finals from the only team to beat them in the
round robin, Who's My Daddy?, made up of Wichita State students and
alumni. Junta jumped to a 220-40 lead at the end of the first half and
seemed to be heading to lopsided victory. Daddy? refused to go quietly
and made it very interesting with a scoring barrage in the second half, but
ultimately fell short 295-235. More detailed team and individual results

Punt Blocking Award: Columbian Trash Lords, Schwengler's
Junta and UMR all "blocked" a punted bonus. Since UMR was the
only one of these not to win a team prize, they were awarded the Punt Blocking
prize, the John Madden Tailgaiting Cookbook.
Title IX All-Star: "Liz Hurley" on Who's My Daddy,
won a Rolling Stone Wisdom of Women in Rock book mini-book
Rookie of the Year - Marmot with Muskrat was the highest
scoring rookie trash player, but due to some mix-ups, we couldn't figure that
out on the day of the tournament and thus gave prizes to all rookies who hadn't
yet won something.
